National Recognition for Kottakkal Peace Public School

Peace Public School, Kottakkal, has earned national-level recognition for its outstanding performance through the Oxfam Equality Club. Among the top ten schools in India that showcased exemplary efforts under the Oxfam Equality Club initiative, Peace Public School stands out as the only institution from Kerala to receive this honor.
Oxfam, a globally renowned non-governmental organization founded in 1942 and headquartered in Oxford, UK, works towards equality and the upliftment of marginalized communities across the world. The club at Peace Public School was acknowledged for fostering core human values among the younger generation and conducting impactful awareness campaigns against various forms of social discrimination.
As part of the initiative, the school’s Equality Club collaborated with several local organizations including the Pulikkal Ability Foundation, Ponmala Buds Rehabilitation Center, and Pain and Palliative Societies to organize a range of meaningful social activities and outreach programs.
The club comprises around 30 student members selected from various classes and is coordinated by the school’s Social Science teacher Mr. K. Nishad.
A felicitation ceremony was held at the school to celebrate the achievement. The event was presided over by Principal Mr. M. Jouhar, with Vice Principal Ms. Smitha, Head Teacher Mr. K. Pradeep, Club Coordinator Mr. Nishad, and teachers Mr. C.P. Ashik and Mr. Shabeer delivering congratulatory remarks.
