The award for the best teacher was presented to S. Smita, Vice Principal of Kottakkal Peace Public School, by the Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Prof. Dr. R.S. Bava. S. Smita was honored with the FAP India Teacher Award for her efforts in promoting research interests among students. The award recognized her implementation of the “Peace Little Scholar” program, among other initiatives at the school. The award was presented by Prof. Dr. R.S. Bava, Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University. Father James Mullassery, State President of the Un-Aided School Protection Council, chaired the event. P.S. Ramachandran Pillai, Jacob George, and M. Abdul Nasir, who were office bearers, also spoke at the event.
